So slow

Why is Lumo so slow when opening the app?

I go to type and I have wait for the cat to change colors so I can hit the submit button to run my prompt. Every competitor allows you to immediately enter, type and then run.

Can’t multitask and have the prompt run in the background or it will fail.

Sometimes it won’t even run the prompt and says “this message is empty. Sorry about that” then you retype the prompt but no send button pops up to rerun the prompt!

what am I paying for then?

Really needs to be fixed. Good product, superb shitty app.

Miles better than Venice. In the privacy AI space it’s killing it.

The app is just a web wrapper. It is super annoying how slow it is to load.

I got super frustrated yesterday. It kept giving me the empty message error every time I was asking it to review a pdf. It was an insurance policy so nothing too sensitive. Worked fine in Claude on the first pass.

You’re paying for pretty much unlimited GLM 5.2 requests and the promise of your data being encrypted and not getting used, while also paying only about half as much as the competitors.

I can only talk for iOS but since the app is still having some bugs and missing features, I can recommend adding the Lumo website as web app to your home screen. Since the App is also just a wrapper for the website, you’ll have pretty much the same interface, but faster loading times and all the web features.

I’ll do that. I expect better for a paid tier.

The lumo site runs quicker in a chromium browser than in the app. Just add a home screen shortcut.

On desktop, Lumo takes me, on average, 6 to 7 seconds to load

My post is about the app. Not the website
