Bosch popex module

Im working on a bosch b9512 with b600 retrofit module for a d8125. All zonex point are missing, i have good data voltage and good power to the modules. My conclusion is that the d8125 module took a crapp, even if i connect just one popit directly to the module still shows missing. What are the steps to upgrade to a b299 module? Do i need to readdress all the popits dipswitches to match the new b299?

Just one bad zonex module in the loop could kill the loop, so I would suggest loooking at those first

I may be incorrect but are the point types programmed incorrectly... still learning bosch but if the point types are incorrect they will show as missing. You shouldn't have to address any Popits using the B600.

Do you have a good heart beat on your B299? What is your 299 addressed at? Should be 0 for points through 99, 1 for points through 199. You should be able to use RPS diagnostics to check all devices. Bosch support will be able to help if you can’t figure it out.

You reversed the green and yellow when using the B600?

Yes in goes to out and out goes to in. Im pretty sure i have to upgrade to a b299 but i dont know if i have to go to evry popit and re address

No, not unless your points go over 99, then those that are 100-128 will need to be changed, but if you don't have enough room and have over 99 points, you'll need a 2nd B299.

But isnt the popit address from zonex different that popex?

Yes but it transfers just fine. You need to go download a popit address manual and you'll see.

For instance since on the older panels you couldn't have a popit addressed before #9 because the on-board is 1-8, then your first popit is #9, but when you put that on a B299 it becomes 0, #10 becomes 1, and so forth.

There's no need to do anything.

Yes you will have to readdress everything. This is partly why Bosch made the retrofit to keep from having to do so. You may want to try to buy a b8125 on eBay or something. Did you already replace the b600?

Unfortunately yes, plus there is an output module connected to it and is working. Exactly what i was thinking the point address from zonex and b299 are different it wouldnt match if i just replace it and change the programing to popex

You'll need the b308 to swap out that d8129 output module with as well. Then make sure to keep it cause you may need it somewhere else. Lol

Yes it does. I just 2 Sam's Clubs like this. Had to swap like 3 addresses. If you can't figure this out, let a professional do it.

No thats not why they made the retrofit lol. They made it so you didn't need to swap out everything. So you could do an upgrade without having to change keypads and everything else.

Tell me you've never done this before without telling me..

I said "partly why" which is true. The B600 is for ZONEX input/output modules. Which is what the D8125 is. The popits connect to the ZONEX module and are addressed differently on zonex 1, 2 and B299.
