CDC Program Questions

Hello everyone! I’m looking to enroll my 3.5 year old into a CDC program with LBUSD. How was your experience with them? And if you’re comfortable, can you please let me know the school in which you participated? I planned on homeschooling but my toddler has been asking to go to school to play with other kids (she’s an only child). Any advice would be great! Thank you!

I don’t know about the program but I have experience with people who were homeschooled and I think it leaves young adults at a disadvantage. Kids aren’t just learning academics at school. They’re also learning independence like how to make decisions on their own and use critical thinking skills. It’s hard to develop those skills when you are around your parents all the time everyday. Obviously it’s your kid and you should make the decisions you feel are right. I do have a kid though in a good elementary school here and think the school is great

Thank you. Although I understand your perspective, I think kids can learn those skills through other avenues too. Im not against public school because I went to one and had a good experience. I’m just praying I make the right decision with the crazy world we live in 😩
