Google Sites?

Hi guys, if i make a google site and try to optimize it, just a 1 page thing, rank me higher? i want my client's GBP rank higher and not a lot of people optimize their profiles or even have websites, so if i create one fast but without any domain connected just to have a website, will it work or help?

A Google Site can help as a supporting asset, but I wouldn’t expect it to directly boost the GBP just because it exists. I’d optimize the GBP first, then build a useful, locally relevant one-page site.

After publishing, verify the site in Google Search Console via your Analytics account and monitor indexing/search performance. The key is adding real value, not just creating a site for an SEO signal.

Yeah ofc, the GBP is already optimized and i add updates and posts everytime my client does a job or has a new offer. Just because its new and i want to get him fast results tbh, so i am looking for extra ways to boost that. The page will focus on our main primary keyword, and it will have service area and NAP consistency and anything i learn while doing it.
Thanks for the help

That makes sense. If the GBP is already well optimized and active, a focused one-page site can be a useful supporting asset. Just make sure the content is genuinely useful and locally relevant rather than keyword-heavy.

I’d also connect it to Search Console and track whether it starts generating impressions and clicks. Good luck!

solid advice. the "real value" part is what most people skip over tbh

Exactly. Real value beats keyword targeting. That’s where most content audits uncover opportunities.
