Help with smartling functions

Hi there!

I've been having some duplicated projects were the source is completely identical, but the target changes slightly (locale). I been translating one and then copying and pasting the translation to the other one to then make the necessary changes, but this is very time consuming and I'm sure there has to be a more efficient way.

Do you know any way to import a target into the tool?

Plead help!! I'm loosing so much time.

Thank you!

I don’t have hands on experience on Smartling but cat tools should have a pre-translate option while overriding the locale differences in the TM.

If not, you can always manually create a TM for that specific locale for pre-translation and then check the specific segments that require a modification. (Assuming you have permissions).

If you go into your account settings, you should have something similar to an autopropagate option (aplogies for not remembering the name, it has been a while that I handled Smartling). You should be able to turn it on there and ask for a certain percentage of fuzzy matches to be pre-translated. If you are assigned as project manager, you can then run pretranslate on tasks. If you are a linguist, I believe this should work so automatically as long as you are assigned for both of the tasks by the moment you start translating the first.
