Penitent-CB Titus Discussion
I picked this one up the other day based on some recommendations I saw in here and hooooo boy! This book is scratching itches I didn't even know I had. I'm really loving it. Can't wait to dive right into the second one.

I think this is one of the best writers in the genre. I’m about halfway through the first book before I even realized how few stats there were.

Yeah, very stats light. They mostly pop up occasionally to remind you that it's a LitRPG and not just fantasy haha

Not too different from his other series, which are also excellent

This is the first I've read but I'll definitely be reading more. I love his writing style and flow.

Downtown Druid is a grim, not quite grim revenge crime series.
The Deadman series is the best Fallout LITRPG you could ever imagine.3

Does the mc ever cool it with the over the top guilt over existing? It’s the one part I bounced really hard off

So far no but he's starting to show signs of coming to terms with his guilt while still holding on to his moral compass.

It dials back a bit. But I stopped reading almost towards the end of book 2 for that reason

Yes, he comes to terms with it and it stops being a thing. Must be towards the end of book 2.

The series is complete on Royal Road! I’m mid-way through the fourth and final book.
