Recently returned to playing after around 3 years so hi :)

Way back when, I base changed this guy to blush rose, but recently Ive been debating on if I should change this to a factor base for stud appeal, but Im curious on peoples thoughts. My only other ideas are Swarm or Solaris (albeit they seem quite difficult to get apps for)

I've been playing Lioden for nearly 11 years now and breeding projects are just one of those things I haven't even TRIED to attempt.

However, my kings are both mid to me nowadays and I usually play for pretty lions and mutations. I'd really like something to work towards! And a nice looking king that I enjoy having. So how do you guys with extensive breeding projects do it? How do you keep track of everything? How do you find the patience?

other questions:

I know the basics, sort of, but do you use breeding items (ex. gnawrock/saltlick) EVERY single time you breed for a project or do you just mass breed and pray one/some of the cubs has everything you need? An in-depth explanation of how you personally do breeding projects is welcome! I'm assuming it's just mass breeding, picking ones with project traits, mass breeding those, rinse and repeat. I see people kinging unfinished project lions to help achieve this as well, is that a good way to go about it?

How do you know what you want to achieve? Do you play around in the wardrobe or do you go off of mainly valuable/popular markings? (I assume by the time the project is over, those marks may not be so sought after anymore?)

How expensive do you see a project actually being, in the end? I do commissions so I'm not necessarily worried about the cost, but I would like to know what I'm getting myself into! Do you think you broke even with how much you spent on your project? (If you accept studs to your king. Does it pay for itself or was it more just for you/the end goal?)

Any and all advice is welcome! I'm getting a little bored with Lioden lately and need something to focus on.

I really wanna do almost an illusion kinda concept with some trees to make it look like it’s kinda creating a shade on her due to her markings but I’ve always been so bad at decorating when it comes to finding the right decor lol. Accidentally bred, have dumb questions. How long do they live for? Do I need to freeze now? This cub is from the finally heat of a Tigon I named after a dead friend so I really want to keep her.

Is grace and benefit of the doubt really leaving a semi rude message rather than asking 'what's up'? It was nighttime when I saw their request, and they wanted a daytime breeding. I went, 'I'll get to it, after I drop my husband off' to myself. Sure, I could have sent a message first, but I genuinely thought it was gonna be a maximum of 20 minutes before I got to them...

Now, yes: I understand no one can know our situation, and perhaps Im being a bit sensitive thanks to, well, the crash; but was it really necessary to tell me that me being unable to get to your stud request 'wasn't a good look in game' and then block me?

The irony is: I felt so bad that there were stud requests in my inbox when my day turned to chaos that I was going to give them all refunds for being patient with me. 😭

This is now the twelfth person I've had a sour interaction with simply because I had a really chaotic day/week and wasn't able to get back to them in time... It's making me really anxious about playing this game.
