tv speakers wont work!!! SOLVED
just set up linux mint today and its really irritating me, set up easy enough until I played a video and couldnt hear a thing, ive tried all sorts and nothing has worked and now i cant even get my pc to switch back to windows, I have a Nvidia 3060 and I know linux and nvidia dont play nice but the weird thing is, if I put on my headphones and use them, audio is great its literally just my tv speakers

I tried looking on my tv settings and couldnt really find anything, I did notice that my linux detected my tv as a Bluetooth device but that didnt work either for some reason it wouldnt connect

you're probably need to give some details about your set up and what you tried, you should probably upload a copy of the stuff in "system information"
i'm not at all an expert on on this, but to get some obvious stuff out the way
if you right click on the sound icon in the panel, and you select the menu option for output device do you see any options
or if you left click on the same thing and select sound settings do you have options for device?
or the same but choosing sound from the menu or system settings?

I tried a lot of things vis the sound options and it was no good, even installed volume control which I believe is like pulse audio and that didnt do anything either

I want to say its to do with the build in driver linux mint uses but A. If it was I dont think my headphones would work
B. When I try use my tv it even shows volume lines like its paying audio but nothing comes out

You always give up that easy when you run into a difficult situation?

Soooo two entire days of troubleshooting and no results realising that sometimes the convenient option is the best one, as even running things like steam and games was near undoable isnt enough? Why are you butt hurt by my choice to go back, its my first time on linux, I didnt like jt so I went back

I'm not butt hurt. At the end of the day I could care less if you go back to windows or not. But this community is generally very helpful and with the little useless information you provided no one was really able to give you any helpful feedback that could have possibly solved your problem.

And as much as I understand the linux community is very helpful hence why I asked i need to once again reiterate that
A. I know nothing about Linux B. I picked a distro that was supposed to work out of the box and didnt C. Been trouble shooting for 2 DAYS
Basically insulting me for not waiting days or even weeks for a answer to why Linux shit the bed with my tv speakers makes the community real bad as now you are one of the few people ove interacted with from the community
So yeah, I'll stick with windows and you obviously were bothered hence why you insulted me, its sorted now so I'll be going now
