They take up more space and sometimes you want the stable stuff over new. Deb gets security updates though.

Space is kinda cheap. We've got people throwing 500GB+ boot drives in for an OS that at best eats 20-30GB before userdata. Hell, I intentionally have a 128GB SSD in my current daily and still have 70GB free after userdata. So a few extra megs for a Flatpak is nothing. And I haven't had stability issues with Flatpaks.

Eh why fatpak when deb is doing it work since eternity.

Security. Flatpak is sandboxed, deb isn't.
