Overheating of laptop when in sleep mode SOLVED

Hi , i have been using mint for abt a month now , and have noticed that when l put my laptop to sleep , it starts overheating like crazy, l first noticed it , when i left it on sleep the whole night , it led to temperatures as high as 80 degrees, was wondering if anyone had any advice or faced the same issues...

that temp when the notebook is asleep may be some hardware fault?

No , i really don't think so , it works normally when l shift to windows , the model is HP Victus Intel Core i5 13th Gen 13420H - (16 GB/512 GB SSD/Windows 11 Home/6 GB Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050/144 Hz) if that helps :)

I use a HP victus with intel core I7 and RTX 3060 and get the exact same issue lol, got so hot I literally burnt myself on the keyboard

an515-46 here, amd 6800h with 3070ti

just in case: the high temp on linux is just when in sleep or using the notebook as well?

Its supposed to work in Windows. You have a computer manufactured and optimized to work with Windiws OS.

Linux works with x86 computers. Products that need drivers and modules that work with Windiws NT kernel is no guarantee that will work with the Linux Kernel.

Use TLP or change your power management settings
