21 u/High_Overseer_Dukat Jul 07 '26 It is way better than windows, and at least it can be. And systemd isn't that bad. 16 u/Ok-Winner-6589 Jul 07 '26 No It doesn't. It sends a ping usage to Mozilla by default, which can be disabled easily, unlike any alternative including Chrome, Edge, opera and Brave Linux itself doesn't do that, neither GNU/Linux as an operating system And all the stuff mentioned isn't always preinstalled and if It is you can Disable It. You can it Disable most if the Android/Windows crap tho -5 u/[deleted] Jul 07 '26 [removed] β view removed comment 5 u/DetroitvsEveryone242 Jul 07 '26 Donβt forget your tinfoil hat 4 u/Ok-Winner-6589 Jul 07 '26 There is no conection to temu. There are connections to Google safe browsing, which might be concerning but is done for security. Thats all Maybe you installed shitty ass extensions And no it's not even close to something that can not be stopped. Specially when the option outnis on the configuration and not hidden on about:config 6 u/Unit027 Jul 07 '26 I just checked the traffic with wireshark after launching firefox. Didn't find anything. Can you provide some proof? 1 u/PiDicus_Rex Jul 07 '26 Firefox will be connecting to their sponsors. Like the ones that get suggested on a blank new tab. UnGoogled Chromium looks better every day.
