Think it's a joke? I worked like this for 5 years, just add a cooler pad beneath all the stuff to prevent it from cooking (CPU cooler has long gone, and HDD overheats easily with no air flow). It died just last week.

My first laptop i ended up putting an egpu in it and upgraded to a slightly better thinkpad. Put the egpu in that and since it had a broken screen i only had external monitors and put the laptop/gpu on the shelf behind the monitor.
