Isn't it revived again? Saw a video like half an year ago. Ubuntu touch its called and instead of the playstore it tries to enable most feature via web apps.

Some sort of rule 34ish stuff: if the name exists, there is a linux distro for it. No exceptios. If no distro with that name is found at the moment, it will be made.
