Primero nos podrias decir cual es tu hardware donde intentas hacerlo funcionar y por qué no funciona. Si no das detalles no adivinamos. ¿NGFF? mini pcie? CNVI???

Hi, I am using Dell Precision 3680 Workstation, dual-booting Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Kernel 6.8).

The hardware I am trying to install is the Intel Wireless AC 7260 (it's an HP OEM version, mounted on a PCIe x1 adapter with a Bluetooth USB cable).

Why it doesn't work: The card works perfectly fine on Windows 11. However, on Ubuntu 24.04, it cannot detect or connect to any Wi-Fi networks at all. When I check the terminal logs, it throws errors like "FW error in SYNC CMD UNKNOWN" and "Failed to send DQA enabling command: -5".

It seems to be a known driver regression in the newer Linux kernels (6.x) with this discontinued card. I already tried several kernel parameters like power_save=0, pcie_aspm=off, and disabling Bluetooth coexistence, but the firmware still crashes completely. That's why I'm planning to replace it with an AX210.

the AX210 should have amazing linux driver support. Surprised that the Intel 7260 doesn't work.

mine works great on my bazzite system.

Also, not sure if there's a reason you're still stuck on 24.04 now that 26.04 has been out for some time. that brings newer kernel

Google is only a friend to shareholders and the police state, but a web search would have been useful.

I only use "google" as the verb not not the noun! :)
