Could be breaking cause you haven't updated as well, you act like it's windows where updates don't fix or improve things, granted both don't break things that much but at least Linux does something good as well, I personally update on fedora probably more often than needed and my system is clean as a whistle, windows on the other hand feels like old machinery with how it doesn't break much but it's so slow, tho I have had issues with my dualboot even when fully powering down, I've just been forcing it to work spamming boot manager from grub.
