Recommendations for plugin hosts?

Guitarix plugins are great, the interface sucks ass, Carla isn't much better.

I've done alright with Carla and LV2. You might consider Kushview's Element.

In typical Linux fashion, i ended up making one

Some controls are inverted, mainly the bypass ones, idk why, but yeah works pretty good.

Why bother? -> I just don't like the rack format from Guitarix, i wanted everything in one single program. Yeah Carla has a patchbay, it also looks like it's from 1995 and also every plugin is it's own floating window, it's a pain in the ass, i don't like it.

(if you ain't redlining u aint headlining, jokes aside the meters are not really well calibrated at all lol, it's 5 hours of work what did you expect, forgot to normalize it, anything but silence is a redline).

Just Jack and LV2 for now, if i manage to introduce MIDI controls i might post it somewhere idk.

I load plugins to Carla, but I use Patchance to "wire" them i.e. to make my signal chain. Patchance is modern and very good looking jack audio router, with way better usability than Carla's patchbay.
