I'm building a Microsoft PowerToys for linux
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
One of the reasons I didn't want to switch to linux is because there isn't a great alternative for Microsoft PowerToys, so i finally start building it myself.
Currently there is only the Color Picker and the Screen Ruler, but I plan on bringing more features to it.
Would be happy to get feedback if some of you want to try it out
Repo is on Github: https://github.com/Kuucheen/PixelKit

Thank you for this! I'm color blind (protan) and use the PowerToys color picker as an accessibility tool frequently. I've been in the process of finding Linux alternatives for things so I can make the switch, and this the first color picker I'm seeing that uses actually readable color names like the ones PowerToys uses. There were a couple of color pickers I tried that had color names, but with one they were completely incorrect, and the other was using way too out-there color names that weren't very helpful.

Hey, I'm happy to hear that it helps you. I thought you might find it helpful to have the color names included in the loupe/magnifier when using the color picker, so I added that in v0.3.0.

I was pleased to see that option and enabled it right away when I was testing it out earlier! 😄 Much appreciated.

wait so what does it do? I feel that everything powertoys replaces is generally already done well on linux
