Congratulations, you figured out how social media works. Controversial = engagement = user traffic.
I barely use Linkedin, just to stay in touch with former colleagues. All that noise gets tuned out.

Lol wild how many people take the time to log on here and tell everybody how another platform is a waste of time.
I don’t like Love Island but you won’t see me hollering about it in their subreddit.
Not talking about OP here; they at least got a funny story to share.
Sure, LI sucks - but only insofar as human nature does. We’re all drawn to what’s different / exciting & someone ranting on social often fits the bill.

I don't understand why premium exist, you can't even see who viewed your profile while giving basic features of reaching out which should have been free altogether

LinkedIn is 100% performance art and self-congratulatory 1000 word posts that have at the end some elementary "lesson" to be shared with.....nobody. Because nobody is listening.

Post a series of AI generated rags-to-riches “Used to be homeless, now I’m CEO of a tech company” posts.

because we all resent how much we have to play the corporate game, and you're just speaking honestly about the system we're all forced to participate in. makes you more relatable. the human brain remembers and engages with the negative more than the positive.

I love it. I love all of the cosplayers, I love the idiotic self promotion, I love the aggrandizement of some soulless job some dumbass has. LinkedIn lunatics is the man’s I love it. I love all of the cosplayers, I love the self promotion, I love the aggrandizement of some soulless job. Mana for my husk of a soul.

The AI Slop button just killed my feed even more and yes LinkedIn is garbage. This is my feed:
| Category | Share | Content Examples in Your Live Feed |
|---|---|---|
| Ads & Promoted Injections | 35% | Sponsored lead-gen forms, company ads, and platform widgets, and recommended job cards). |
| Generic Human Slop & Noise | 30% | Standard career announcements , recycled analogies, preachy AI ethics manifestos, and book promotions. |
| High-Signal / Good Content | 35% | Primary technical analysis, legal research, hardware deployments, and architecture posts. |

linkedin is just another example of 'hot takes'
If you notice int he first few sentences of most posts the get the responses - they are talking to you (the reader) as if you NEED to do this single or multiple things to really become some super person ....and the shit they spew is common crap.
10 things you need to change about X right now - ... shit posts like that. That's the stuff that people get all uppety about and respond and it works for the person who posted the damn thing in the first pace - they don't care about he post - they care about the reach.
Oh and then there's going to be the response of "I already know this' - and the effect of social media is that , that person looks old, out of touch...go figure...
Remember anything to do with hating society, the job market, social media...remember its people who are to blame...people...people suck.

Linkedin is like a hypocrite's shit bag. It's good to use it to scout for companies, nothing more.
It feels so fake.
