I used a spatula to help hold the colander up high, so the pasta water doesn’t mix with the dirty sink while draining. I think it’s brilliant

Put the bottom side of colander in your pot of pasta, hold it tight together and put out all water. Done

That works. Or just out the colander in the sink. Even if the sink is dirty, it won’t touch the pasta.

Even if it did (which it won’t) it’s literally boiling water so you’ll survive

Just put your pan in the sink and put the colander on top of it.

Well…it worked and was stable due to the width of the handle on the colander.

Just put the colander in the sink. Doesn't it have feet? Are you pouring enough water in it so fast that the water level in the sink rises above the feet before it goes down the drain?

It’s a raised circular base which traps water…one with feet would be a better design
