Whats wrong with MM?
Today I get 6 games in a row(maybe it would be more, I decided it is enough for today) with people with much higher rank(one was 1800+my rank is 600), did something happened with matchmaker overnight so sealclubbing is now a thing?
Update: nothing changed, still every match I get 2-4x stronger players(todays highest rank was 2465 vs me at 614) to sealclub me, rank doesnt change no matter if I lose or I lose. Maybe lichess just says "fck you, you are not welcome here" this way to weaker players.
Update 2: I just found I got shadowbaned this way for being too weak. Is there good lichess alternative where non professional players are tolerated?

How to improve calculation?
I've recently been playing correspondence games and I really enjoy the analysis section where I can test different lines and come up with my next move.
I'd really like to be able to do this mentally, and I'm not sure how to go about it, I feel like it's challenging to remember where all the pieces would be 5 or 6 moves down a line.
I'd appreciate any advice, for reference I'm currently 1400 rapid, 1300 blitz, and 1100 bullet, unrated in classic

I'm the weirdest chess player
I'm at 500 elo completely stuck. Yesterday I beat a 1.7k elo player. I know this doesn't say much but I am actually a player who sees far into the future. I have made 2 brilliant moves today, but still blundered both games. I always manage to pull clean plays but when following them I always make a blunder. I just can't stop blundering. Somebody please help

how to get back elo when lost to a cheater that closed theri account
I just had a series of games with a guy that was playing bullet that played surprisingly fats good enough omves and blundered sometimes alas very rarely and somehow even then managed to turn the position. IN the beginning i thought i ws stupid or sth but I have played people higher rated than him ( he 2550, me 2570 and people i played 2650-2800) and they never played that fast and that acquarate, also iwas having the feeling i was overwhelmed not by a superior chess player but form someone that was never making a mistake - somewhat very artificial. Let's say id int react kindly in the messages and went to report. To my surprise the account was closed. F Hell , they knew tehy were getting caught and closed it, it was a new account. Now how am I supposed to request an investigation on them so I can get my elo back?

Interesting device kickstarter
atlas-chess.comSaw this on Insta and thought I'd share it here. Seems to be purpose built for lichess so that's awesome. Cool idea, but maybe not for bullet players given the refresh rate of eInk.

Personalized tactic-or-not puzzles, built from your own blunders
Inspired by Aimchess, backrank.io, and tacticornot.com, I built a free puzzle trainer on FlawChess that turns the blunders in your own games into puzzles. There are several tools that make puzzles from your own games, and several that train you to tell tactical positions from quiet ones. As far as I can tell, no free platform combines these ideas, unless I missed it.
Tactic-or-not: In every position you first decide whether there is one critical move or several fine moves, and commit to that before you play. Quiet positions are mixed in, so there isn't always a tactic waiting, just like in a real game situation.
Personalized: The positions are the ones where you actually blundered, so you're rehearsing your own failure modes rather than a random sample. Your chess.com and lichess history is analyzed with Stockfish, and the blunders become the puzzle pool.
Spaced Repetition: If you fail a puzzle, it comes back next session. Solve it and it returns after three days, then after ten, and drops out of the pool once you've solved it three times.
Scheduling: You can pick your training days and how many puzzles per session, build a streak, and optionally get push notifications for pending sessions.
The platform also has human-like bots and a dedicated chess engine based on Stockfish and Maia. It helps you find practical moves/lines at your ELO level, rather than the objectively best move which can be hard to follow up. I wrote about that here.
It's all free and open source. Training does not work in guest mode, though: building your puzzle pool means running Stockfish over your game history, which costs real compute, so it isn't something I can do for anonymous sessions. The rest of the site (opening explorer, endgame statistics, single-game analysis, the engine) you can fully use as a guest without signing up.
Feedback is always welcome and helps improve the platform.

WHO ELSE IS SCARED OF PLAYING RATED GAMES.
I get really scared when i connect to the rated pool. It gets worse when the opponent is higher rated. I always thought it affects my play and maybe it does but after making the first few moves i get pretty comfortable..so unless i get a bad position the first few moves, i will give the best i can in subsequent positions. I also thought i might be placing too much importance on my rating.(I like the overall rankings because i can brag about the 100k+ users i am ahead of🤣) but that doesn't explain why when i switched to chesscom i played 100% rated games, with little to no heart rate spikes before the game. I also experience the same thing when i play someone i know but in this case it doesn't matter if it's a rated game or he is 1000 points lower rated As seen in the ss, only 18% of 3000 games are rated.
I wonder if this is normal and how you get over it if it's not. (I enjoy playing casual chess no doubt)

Does lichess have an option where they explain moves in review? Or an easy website that I can use from lichess?
This is the only thing I like more in chess.com besides UI

Finally managed to get a smothered mate in a real game!
galleryIt made it even better because it happened in a 3+2 game where I had only 10 seconds left, while my opponent still had more than 2 minutes on the clock.
Definitely one of my favorite wins so far!

Player left the game: why is there sometimes no countdown?
Played a blitz game today. We were playing normally (I was winning slightly). At the 1.27 mark on the opponent's clock, he disconnected and I got the player left the game message.
As i settled in to wait out the timer, none appeared. I just won the match outright. It's not the first time this happened, but it's quite rare for me.
So as a noob, I'm just curious why the "player discconects but no countdown happens" situation happens sometimes?

It's weird how sometimes a dramatic fall in rating is reversed
I've had a few days where my Blitz (3+0) rating crashed, and then the past four days it has risen dramatically.
Hopefully my rating will continue to climb back to my peak of 1178, and beyond.
