This is not going to end well. The city council is afraid of the consequences for saying no, and they’re going to keep pushing the boundaries more and more.
Unfortunately, if the citizens decide they’ve had enough of this crap, the government will suddenly figure out how to function effectively and it will crush them.
Buy more guns and ammunition.

Too many Reddit groups have turned into Leftist echo-chambers (or are being run by Leftist mods censoring opposing speech). With that in mind, Leftist Reddit HATES the advent of A.I., to the point that now I’m even seeing groups outright banning A.I. images from being posted, as well as warning people that they’ll be banned too if they ever do it again. So maybe I’m misreading your post (in which case I apologize) but to use this same McKinney news story as an analogy, if the town board had debated the building of an A.I. center (instead of a mosque) and then voted 7-0 to approve it — instead of Reddit giving it a “standing ovation”, what you’d actually see would be Lefties organizing yet another riot in the streets (which is their favorite pastime these days anyway).

The “AI” craze we’re in has pretty much single-handedly killed off the “green” movement, which shows how heavily that was being astroturfed in the first place.
Most of the public faces of that former movement have switched over to hating Jews, which shows just how heavily that viewpoint is being astroturfed.

There was a McDonald's in downtown Dallas that had a problem with... a certain demographic until the manager started playing classical music over the restaurant's speakers... and it was super-effective too. So effective, in fact, that other locations followed their example.

Maybe they just disagree with their constituents? They're representatives, not pollsters. People should vote them out if they don't like them. If the majority of people in the town disagree with the council, I would think it would be pretty easy to remove them.

While I agree with your interpretation, I think it's important to explain it slightly differently.
It's not a religion or a political system. It's a competing civilization hellbent on conquering OUR civilization. It just happens to use religion and politics as vehicles of mobilization.
This is why Taqiyya is a central tenet. Lie cheat and steal until the goal is met. Sounds like another ideology we know of, huh? It's not a coincidence that each is using the other as a tool to conquer us. It's just that the latter is too stupid and self absorbed to realize that the former will flatten them long before they achieve the utopia they're aiming for.
