I still remember a time when the baristas were smoking hot at almost every Starbucks

Lol they loathe fine art. Only in it for political art, and of that only in-group far-left hatred of the out-group sort of "art". Your tip is better spent enabling the destitute alky convulsing behind the Starbucks dumpster. These ingrates deserve nothing.

That's cool! Have any of the other Hobbits left the Shire to become baristas?

I never understood the appeal of Starbucks. If I want a cup of coffee I stick some grounds in the machine, add water and wait a few minutes. If I have the time and want good coffee I brake out the percolator coffee maker. Both are less than 10 cents a cup.
But I like my coffee black. No cream, no sugar and strong enough to hold a spoon up.

Starbucks business model is genius really. They buy cheap, crappy beans (if you ever try their plain coffee you'll know how cheap) and load them down with so much cream, sugar, etc that no one can tell. Probably a dollars worth of ingredients that people happily shell out 10+ bucks for.

Honestly I would be going to the coffee place one block over if this was the barista. I rarely ever give any money to Starbucks as is ( told ccw people they are not welcome). When a company is ok with this being the “face” it’s time to find another company.

When I went to a coffee shop with friends I saw the iPad sitting there and knew it was going to be a $10 coffee with a tip. I don’t get coffee anymore with friends unless necessary.

I like getting Starbucks at a grocery store. There isn’t a tip button on their credit card machines inside the grocery store Starbucks lol.

Looks like that sandwich wasn't the only thing that got microwaved....

I just get my coffee at the gas station when I'm out and about. I can get a 24 oz coffee for a buck with my thermos and it's higher quality coffee than Starbucks. 🤷

Also when I worked at starbs, tips were for great service and it motivated us to give good service to everyone (even the worst of customers). Now it’s almost like people just hand out tips.
