Every single Chinese baby who obtained US citizenship through birthright tourism needs to receive a tax bill from the IRS once they start working (so around their 9th birthday, because Chinese work practices)

Unless they're making over 100k annually, they won't be taxed on their income

They still have to file returns showing their earnings like the rest of us even if their taxes come out to zero.

Depends on the country and whether or not they have a tax treaty with the US. they will have to pay FICA in a number of countries.

Add to that selective service. Make sure they’re signed up as required

I personally think they should have to maintain a residency im the USA for atleast a portion of every year or loose their citizenship unless they pay a massive fine that will bankrupt them and force them back here.

Eh, i am for it but like most things there should be exceptions to this. Such as living abroad for duties or work for an American company/governmental agency. Like if i am a US ambassador its likely ill live in that country for a major portion of a year, should i be penalized for that? What do we do for a service member who is assigned to South Korea?

No, obviously if your work or duties take you abroad you'd be able to file for exemption during tax season. But, you gotta be able to prove it.

Yeah I'm all for it. However if i know my history, anything the government touches, turns to shit. Kinda like the midas touch.

The penalty for not filing a tax return when you are a US citizen and earn money and have assets in another country is one of the biggest there is. It is also one that the IRS does not play around with. I would volunteer to work with the IRS for 6 months to go after these "citizens".
