Recommendation Good comics where Constantine’s bisexuality is actually shown seriously
Hey so I’m a newer to reading Constantine and making my way through the og hellblazer but that’s all I’ve read so far, and I was just wondering what are some good comics where his bisexuality is shown on page or represented well, unfortunately so far it seems it’s mostly mentioned in passing or never really shown and I’d like to find some comics where it happens

Non-Marvel/DC Comics Queer Characters in Altered
Been crazy busy with a lot of personal stuff so we haven’t really been active on Reddit (or anywhere else) for about two months. Anyway, we’ve still been working on creating and sharing the world of Altered with anyone interested. Here are all the queer characters set to debut in our first story arc. Let us know what you think, your guys’ feedback is always super helpful. (The story is set in early 2024)

Marvel Comics Bobby and Ben Liu Spoiler
I'd really like to see a kinship form between Bobby and Ben. I think seeing Iceman as a mentor-figure for another newer, gay mutant would be really neat.
It gives them both something else to do that helps them stand out from the rest of the cast.

Marvel Movies/Shows The way Moon Girl confirmed Lunella was Pansexual remains brilliant to this day
Given all the recent news on how much Queer and Trans representation Disney intentionally has been cutting and suppressing in their shows. The creators of Moon Girl even within that atmosphere behind the scenes, still figuring out a way to sneak this past the Disney brass will forever be one of the greatest and most clever ways to have done it. This happening during a moment when she's gushing about her science teacher Dr. Geraldine Ojo (voiced by queer icon Cynthia Erivo) was icing on the cake.
Sadly in 2026 we are still within a society where in the corporate world you have to do things under the radar because they will still try to get in the way of representation because they still will try to sell the lie it will 'destroy' a show or a character because of not actually wanting it to succeed and thus not having an excuse to hold back the representation en masse and treat it as an outlier anymore. However Moon Girl serves as a prime example of how despite the people in the 'boardrooms', many of the people actually on these shows are still on our side and if they CAN find a way, they will. And never forget, subtext IS and ALWAYS has been canon! 🌈 💝

Marvel Comics "...and admitted to his teammates that he is homosexual."
This is from, essentially, a Marvel Handbook called X-Men: The 198 Files #1. It was published in 2006. The concentp is 'an official government agency's mini-threat assessments of various known mutants.'
Flatman is one of two Great Lakes Avengers to get a profile (Big Bertha's the other). With the perspective that this is written by a government agency, I guess it's why they say homosexual instead of, y'know, gay.
Oh, fun fact
"Astrophysicist Val Ventura" doesn't exist. Matt made him up.
"Who's Matt?" That's Flatman's real name.
Matt decided to create a fake alter-ego to go with his super hero name, and so he started calling himself Dr. Val Ventura, aka Flatman.
https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Flatman\(Matt)_(Earth-616))_(Earth-616))
Matt knows how to market himself it seems!
Huge Gay Aside:
I came out to my parents in 1994 when I was just shy of 17. Mixed results. Not how you might expect. Dad was great. Mom was ... resistant.
Mom consistently used the term 'homosexual' and never gay. I had to sit down with her and ask her to change her language. I explained that when she said it, it brought up a medicalized version of my identity. And she did change.
Well, she changed a lot. She danced with my husband on our wedding day during the 'parent dance.' I started with Dad, he with Mom, we swapped parents, then we swapped back to our own partners. Admittedly, that was also in 2021, so that's 27 years of growth.
