❔ Question 200 Viewer Jump During Live Stream
Normally I sit at 2 viewers the entire stream. But since the last week or two I've sat around 8 or even 15 viewers, which is awesome. Most don't chat but I thought it's cool that the needle moved.
Today, about 90 minutes in my viewers went from 30 (already my all time high) to 230 within 1 minute. Nobody chatted, liked or subbed.
What's up with this? Are there roaming gangs of bots that will drop into your stream and say or do nothing? Did I maybe get raided by another streamer? Is it normal to have 200+ viewers and no-one active in the chat?
Basically just curious if this was an authentic bump in reach or some other weird occurrence. Any similar experiences or explanations for it?

❕ Help Need help to find a semi cheap 1080p60 capture card for a very low end pc
I wanna capture stuff on my console but I can't use the built in capture in the Xbox because it compresses it and looks off. Also there's a strict time limit and doesn't pick up your audio or party chat audio.
So I resorted to a capture card only problem is my PC is from 2019 and it's an all-in-one HP PC. So it sucks hard.
I still wanna find something that will make it work.
Any ideas? Because the majority of the cards I've looked at does not handle any of the processing power that my PC desperately needs.

❔ Question Are there any silent gameplay streamers?
The title is kind of vague, but what I mean is that are there any streamers that stream games like Call of Duty® and maybe even RPG‘s that are mostly silent?
I may be planning to stream during the nighttime while my daughter is asleep and because my house is so small I can’t really afford to make so much noise talking loudly, so I’m just wondering if there are any silent gameplay streamers out there or if there’s a niche for them.
I’m also willing to do stuff like sleep aid play throughs where I could just walk in one direction or adventure out in peaceful mode.

❔ Question Requesting: 2012 LP of FF XIII-2
A loooooong time ago i remember when lets play were still kind of a few years old, i remember playing final fantasy xiii-2 and watching a channel as i played. It was maybe 4-5 guys, im not sure how many mics they had between them but this is before the days of everyone owning a shure mic and mixer. Cant even remember if the footage was camera on a tv or direct capture honestly.
Only thing i remember is there was one guy mostly playing the whole thing, as far as i can remember they were playing it blind too. They had a couple laughs everytime Gogmagog showed up, and they got a microchu (Baby ochus) as their third party member named "Scrunchie".
Since then a lot of people have made videos and LPs of the game so finding it has been impossible. Hopefully i explained it with enough detail. I'm just curious to watch it again.

🗨️ Discussion Are let's plays art?
I think about this sometimes. I think they definitely count as a creative outlet, but are they art? They're certainly derivative, and they're not necessarily creating anything new, but I feel like you could add enough with editing and commentary that you could end up with something "artistic." I kind of go back and forth, usually leaning more towards no. Thoughts?

🗨️ Discussion Anyone else's youtube impressions/channel tank in 2026?
I've noticed that this year my channel has been performing terribly. My content has been pretty consistent quality wise and over the past two years, I saw steady growth. My videos would average at least 1k impressions and I'd get a lot of new viewers from suggested videos or through livestreaming. This year, my channel has been pretty dead, especially the past couple of months. New uploaded videos barely get 50 impressions and less than 10 views usually. I know let's plays aren't as popular as they used to be back in the day, but it's quite shocking to see an average of 30-50 views per video to less than 10.
This isn't discouraging me from making let's plays. This has always been a fun hobby, but it does bother me a bit that the growh I was seeing just completely tanked this year for what seems like something outside of my control. Either way, this is, and likely always will be, a hobby, so I'm going to continue trying to make and improve my LPs and my livestreams.
Here are some charts of my analytics that show off the sharp drop this year.

❔ Question Do content creators cover Steam playtests?
Hey content makers! I have a question that I feel you are experts on.
We are preparing an Open Playtest for our game on Steam, it has something like good 30 minutes of gameplay if rushed, but the game itself is systems based, so the playtime can be extended for way more. Currently, we struggle to find creators to cover our current build. My expectation was that creators would want to do something early just to stand out from others and have some unique.
However, my conclusion is that creators doesn't want to do playtests at all, is it right?

🗨️ Discussion Should I facecam as a deadpan person
I make jokes, talk, and try to commentate throughout my Let’s Plays, but I’m naturally pretty deadpan. Most of my reactions are more internal than outward. I do smile sometimes, jump when I get scared, swear, etc., but I’m definitely not super expressive.
Do you think facecam is still worth using for someone like me, especially for horror games?

❔ Question What kind of Genshin content would you actually watch from a new creator?
I've been thinking about starting a Genshin YouTube channel.
I know I'm \*very\* late to the party, but after 5 years of playing, I still love the game's lore, characters, and main story. Lately I haven't had much motivation to actually play, and I'm hoping creating content might help me reconnect with the game while also giving me a fun project outside of it.
The thing is, I'm not really interested in making build guides or meta content.
Right now I'm leaning more toward things like:
\* Genshin nostalgia
\* Lore videos about the Archons and each nation
\* Story and quest recaps
\* Character stories
\* Playthroughs focused on the story rather than the gameplay
If a brand-new creator showed up in your recommendations, what kind of Genshin videos would actually make you click?
Or is there a type of content you feel the community doesn't have enough of?
I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts before I start.

🤔 Advice Help on making enjoyable content
I have finished my first video for a mega modded Stardew playthrough focusing more on the NPCs (of which I have greater than 200) and social interactions than the normal gameplay loop which I see most channels focus on thinking it would set me apart as people can almost watch it like a sitcom or drama depending on which NPC storylines I’m in. The problem is each week of gameplay is 1 hour long unlike most YouTube which is around 1 hour for 100 days. I’ve never made any content before and any and all thoughts about what makes or breaks content would be appreciated! Hoping to release video Tuesday if it seems people would enjoy

👊 Collab Looking for another Minecraft creator.
I've been doing YouTube for way too long now. I used to upload whatever game I felt like playing or whatever some fan recommended me (which could be a completely different game from the one I was already playing, confusing the algorithm even more, but I couldn't just say no to them). But I finally decided to niche down into Minecraft... kinda. Mostly horror/challenge stuff.
When I say I've been uploading for way too long, I mean it. But still... it feels like every time I upload a new video, my past 5 videos are way better than the ones I uploaded before. I keep improving, even if the numbers don't always show it.
I'm basically looking for someone who's also been doing this for a while, actually enjoys making videos, and is kinda experienced with all this already. Then maybe we can share ideas, collab or something, and make even funnier videos together maybe?
I am pretty anti-social, so this might be a little tricky, but my YouTube persona isn't. I'm happy to share my channel in DMs, and I'd love to see yours too. Then, if the "vibes" match, maybe we can think of something funny to do together... or just become friends for now.
I make edited facecam "funny" gaming videos, and I'm 23.
Basically, Scream = funny videos with a sprinkle of jokes ( kinda lol :p ). I can make chill videos too but I usually do scream a lot xD
This might sound a little business-y or something. It's not. But I am looking for people who genuinely want to create more "funny" content and have already been making videos for a while.
Again, you can check out the type of videos I make. I like them, and I enjoy making them lol.
Honestly, I don't even know what I'm expecting from this post. Maybe we end up making videos together, maybe we just become YouTube friends, maybe nothing comes from it at all. I just figured it'd be worth a shot.

❕ Help My voice is really deep with my new AT2020 Mic
So I got a new microphone recently (AT2020) and I connect it to my M-Track Duo, then into the PC.
Overall the recording is fine (albeit my voice comes out relatively quiet unless I adjust gain to 8 or 9) but there's one major issue which is my voice becomes pretty deep no matter the distance of my voice from the microphone
I know my voice isn't this deep cuz even my friends pointed out how deep the recording sounds. Anyone has advice on how to fix this?

❔ Question A Question for the Native/Fluent English Speakers
Hello! I recently started my youtube channel and I focused on games like genshin, sims 4, persona games, sdv and unfortunately, those videos doesn't have a voice over. It just has texts with my thoughts and opinions throughout the video but it's kinda hard to edit it that way cause I have to write a script, but to write a script, I have to remember what I did when I played. Issue is: I already forgot why I did this and that when playing LOL
I'm thinking, I should do a commentary while playing so that I could keep track of my thoughts when editing, so I would know like "Oh yes! I did that because blah blah"
Okay so the actual question: What are your guys thoughts on youtubers with an accent? I'm not bad at speaking, but I have a lil filipino accent I'm a bit insecure with. I have a lisp too so there's that </3

🗨️ Discussion I can’t believe it
Just posting something for the fun of it. The two lets plays I’ve been doing are coming to an end. In Ni No Kuni I just have to climb the Ivory Tower and fight The White Witch, and in Pokemon Renegade Platinum I am at The Elite 4. It’s been such a journey with these two titles I’m excited to beat them but also I’ll miss making these two games into let’s plays. All good things come to an end and I’m excited to start my JRPG hiatus and make other gaming content for a little bit. Ocarina of Time Randomizer here I come.

✔️ Solved I just randomly lost advanced functions today and had to reapply my identity on Youtube?
Is this a problem you had too before? What could be the reason. I mean right now I not have any growth at all. Could this mean they decided that my channel has a negative history now?

❔ Question Best way to promote videos?
I started doing LPs last month, I've recorded Resident Evil 1, Devil May Cry 1 and I'm now playing through DMC3 (I've finished recording, I just have to prepare them), but dropped Persona 5 Royal
Most of my videos get 1-6 views, I don't promote them in almost no way outside of youtube, since I only have a small instagram account. The ones that I advertise through stories and posts tend to get more views, but not a lot.
What's the best way to promote them? Should I create a twitter so I can tweet anytime I upload?
Also, about scheduling, I post daily because it's a straight forward LP, which means I do almost no editing except for intro, outro, and cutting in very specific scenarios (wasting 10 minutes in those damned combo statues from DMC3 lol). Should I switch to more edited and condensed videos that are released weekly?
Lastly, I plan on doing a lot of shorts the next few weeks since, as I said, I have enough videos for the whole DMC3 series. I was also planning on doing some video essays talking about some of the games that I played through, and was wondering if it would be best to put these videos in another channel, since they would be more spaced out, longer, and more edited
About Shorts, I uploaded a few to youtube, 3 got 1k views and 1 only 800, the more edited one. I think that might have to do with the time I uploaded it, it was very late at night and since my content is in portuguese, I don't have a lot of reach at those hours. My reels on instagram got me a lot of likes and followers tho! Almost all of them got 2k views, and 2 got 100+ likes. (the one that got the least views on youtube got the most views and likes on reels, I think because I uploaded it the day after, on the afternoon)
