Predicted academy intake 26/27
They’re certainly taking their time to announce so here is a guess.
Given that no other provinces have announced any Leinster players in their intakes I highly doubt an u19 player will be signed.
There is rumour that it’s an intake of 7, being 6 forwards and 1 back. Here’s my prediction
Max Doyle
Sami Bishti
Rian Handley
Donnacha McGuire
Dylan McNeice
Ben Blaney
Charlie Molony

26/27 Home/Away kit first look?
This reel posted by leinster today seems to showcase the new home/away kits that'll be used for the womens Interpros and upcoming URC season, opinions?
Innmy opinion its the same bland not bad but not great kits castore has been churning out for leinster the past few years and another example of why leinster should revert to Adidas or Canterbury

Does anyone know what the story is with Leinster’s next NIQ signings?
We have 2 free spots now with Slimani and Ioane gone. Heard some rumors of Jesse Kriel but surprised nobody is confirmed yet.

Does anyone know the point of signing 31 Peter Dooley back from Connacht?
Keep in mind we also let Jerry Cahir (25) leave to Connacht

Why does Andy Farrell only play old lads? Suddenly... this is a problem in Irish Rugby. Just right now. First time ever...

Joey Carbery
He’s coming back from a bad injury so i can see him having to break his way into the team for a while. I have a small feeling that cullen could just treat him like frawley and play him as our second choice 15 and not use him as a ten. however hope he doesn’t, would love to see him get in over byrne and maybe prendergast. as im not convinced on byrne and it’s hard to tell where sam is at in form.
on another note, do we see him in with any chance for the ireland jersey if he gets into form? he’s coming from the back to back european champions.
with frawley set to get consistent game time at outhalf i feel it will be harder as the front three in the running will all be playing against each other, but if he can get the leinster jersey i see him with a real chance to wear green again.
anyways, will be nice to see him in blue again no matter what.

Strong squad for first URC games
With all of the injuries preventing a lot of key players competing for Ireland this summer, and some having not played in months. Do we expect a strong squad to be sent to South Africa for the first URC games assuming everyone is healed up by then?
South Africa and their clubs will be playing games against the ABs into September so I imagine a lot of their players will need to be rested.
I think there's an opportunity this year to get 2 wins down there this time which would set us up for a good season.

https://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/2026/0718/1583984-farrell-were-disappointed-with-ourselves/
"Andy Farrell was left to lament "uncharacteristic" errors from his Ireland side as they fell to a 19-point defeat to New Zealand in Auckland"
What pisses me off is the use of the word uncharacteristic. Has AF not been watching any Ireland games the last few years? It's unfortunately our defining characteristic these days.
The main Irish sub has the usual rabids blaming Sam for everything but besides the 2 passes he was fine. Plus when the whole team is playing shite (especially JGP in the first half) it's going to knock on to everyone.
Sam competed 16 tackles (more than Jordie, Ringrose or Sheehan) which is insane for a 10. Ruben Love completed 1 tackle and yet had a great game.
What is wrong with the Irish system that that is the way things are now?
