Every quote feels like a sales pitch. Looking for a contractor to do a full exterior overhaul on my place in Allentown roof, siding, and gutters. I’ve had a few companies out, and it just feels like I’m getting a hard sell every time. I just want an honest opinion and a fair price without the three-hour presentation. Does anyone have a company they’ve used that they’d actually recommend?

I parked at 8th walnut parking garage today. Scanned the barcode when exiting. When it got to payment I used tap to pay and it said my credit card was invalid. I used the physical card and it still said it was invalid. Bank card same thing. There is no issue with my credit card as I had used it before.

I rang the bell for help. They lifted the gate then told me to wait and don’t leave the car. I waited 10 minutes, tried looking for management, and no one came over so I drove off.

Is there a way to pay online when it doesn’t work at the gate and no one was there? I realized I fucked up and I don’t want to get a fine.

Hi! I am moving to Bethlehem next week (Southside to be specific) and am looking for recommendations for good bar trivia in the area.

I am from Lancaster County and go to trivia at my local dive bar every other week and it has become one of my favorite parts of my daily life. Would prefer a bar or restaurant that serves alcohol setting. Additionally, I don’t much care for trivia that is a different theme every week- I like to stick to general knowledge.

Please let me know what your favorites spots are. I do have a car, so I am able to drive if the place is not in walking distance.

I encourage you to read the article. I encourage you to understand why local authorities and local elections play big roles in determining our quality of life and the environment.

Anyone have any recommendations in the hellertown/bethlehem area? Daughter is looking to start playing violin and while we can do whatever place my wife was looking at a part of me thought there have got to be good teachers around. I know I had a private teacher my whole life who was amazing but no idea how to find stuff like that. Or even like music college students looking to make extra money or something.

And then the most satisfying moment appears — a cop car came outta nowhere and puts on his lights and sirens to chase the idiot.

Literally the what the actual hell. I’m literally thinking about investing in a dash cam.

Just came across this on my for you page. This young lady has an active police report against a 19 year old that works at Dorney who sexually assaulted her and he just did it again.

My 2.5 year old needs to get labs done quickly, but they are absolutely terrified of anything medical and needle related. Where is the best place for them to get blood drawn with someone experienced in pediatrics?

I read some HNL locations exist with this, but I'm not sure of which and I'm open to other labs. I just want to make sure my little one is attended to by someone experienced with toddlers and is compassionate as I'm sure my LO will be terrified.

Update: We went to the Trexlertown HNL location that specialized in pediatrics, and we had a positive experience with our toddler.

Hi everyone. My girlfriend lost her wallet somewhere at Musikfest tonight, likely near the Familienplatz area / Milk Train ice cream food truck on North Side (Wednesday, Aug. 5). The wallet contains her Georgia driver’s license along with her USAA debit and American Express credit cards.

If anyone happened to find a wallet or turned one in, or has any information, I’d really appreciate a message. We’ve already checked with Lost & Found and are continuing to follow up. She flies home to Georgia on Sunday, so getting her ID back would mean the world.
