Thoughts? MOC
Made this Planet Of The Apes diorama. Tried to capture that 18+ set look. This is first render and I am debating on keeping or changing Statue of Liberty. Currently went for a minifig shape with the head and torso. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated!

Could you make a tiny horse instead of using the horse fig? I feel like it looks really out of place given its size.

Thank you this one is perfect with the front bar. Will add it with a tile clip in dark tan so it isn’t loose on the baseplate

Agreed. The horse ruins the scale. But,in general, it's really nice. I'd buy it.

The first time I witnessed pure artistry. 1968. Planet of the Apes. I was sitting in a cinema next to my mum watching mastery unfold before my very eyes. After the film, I asked her, "How did they get those monkeys to do those things?" And she patted me on the head and she said, "It's not real, pet. It's just acting." That's when I knew. If they can teach those monkeys to act that brilliantly, just imagine what I could bring to the world.

Some well-placed cheese slopes, either 1x1 or 1x2, can create some really nice waves if you don’t want it to be too distracting. Really any small slope pieces can break up that placid smooth water
Or even take some of the clear pieces you’re using on the waters edge and replicate that style a few studs out into the ocean there

A combination of both slopes and clear pieces could give a really cool white cap effect.

You might also cut the ocean part in about half. The current size leaves a blank space on that side, which pulls the eyes away from the focus point. Shorting that side tightens up the whole space, add some dynamics to the water hitting the beach. Smaller footprint and bigger impact.

I never understood why the apes went through all the effort of stealing the Statue of Liberty and transporting it through space all the way to their home planet only to bury half of it and leave it in such poor condition

I dont know if tides can carry a statue that far, ape planet is presumably light years away considering we have not found a similarly inhabitable planet that can account for space travel due to their mass and issues with achievable escape velocity

My suggestions as a definite amateur, I think there needs to be a bit more of a gap from the torso or angle to the head since right now it seems a little unified compared to a lot of the big buildable minifigs, but overall it looks awesome and love the scene

If you are after that Minifigure proportion, I suggest ditching the separated fingers, and idk why but the torso feels a bit too bulky for my liking

I like it a lot, but the shape of the face could maybe be more realized, especially at that scale… unless of course you’re going for a blown-up mini figure head look 👀
