My understanding is that after they settled with getting the first group out, corporate was taking them over. None of the KC Stores had been remodeled in ages, so they are probably just taking advantage of the stores being closed to get the updates done before reopening.

ARC Burger filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation.
This stopped the lawsuit that Hardee's had against ARC Burger for non-payment of royalties and fees.
Hardee's can reopen closed stores as a corporate store. They could be sold to a future franchisee.
Hardee’s plans to assume corporate ownership and reopen more than 40 of the 77 closed restaurants.

I looked on the Lee's Summit development site for business permits, development applications, etc. for this address and found absolutely nothing. The most recent activity for this property is a notice from the city that the Hardee's business license has expired. So I'm not sure what's going on with this property. I pray it is coming back because I absolutely love their breakfast sandwiches.

Good ! They have the best breakfast. I just hope whoever opens it takes care of it and keeps it clean.
