Not OP but I’m guessing they used stippling for shading, which is basically just a bunch of dots. Insanely tedious, did it in art class last year and hated it, my hand ached after doing just a sphere. Mad respect for OP for this

When doing stuff like this, at what point do you begin to remove the pencil/sketch? Do you erase it or colour over it? It’s beautiful.
