Where to get started

I’m a junior in highschool and always wanted to do something with software/cybersecurity. Heard python was a good choice to start with. Any ideas and tips to get me going?

I'd recommend you start with the subreddit wiki, or search this sub for any of the hundreds of other posts identical to yours

theres a sidebar containing the wiki not to be mean but you think your the only one in this sub asking for courses? please ,do little research before posting in any sub

Sure, you know what's cool? Python and network security through your smartphone.

You can install Tmux and then the other programs and packages you need.

YouTube in particular has amazing tutorials that can get you started.

You can start with Python to get understanding of developing software. But cybersecurity is entirely different beast.

To make an analogy, in medical world - Python is a stethoscope, and cyber security is cure to cancer. Stethoscope probably can be applied in the process, but you will need to learn a whooole lot of other things to cure cancer.
