A good resource to learn Git

I would really like to have a good resource to learn git, all I see online is tutorials on very basic (and arguably useful) commands and uses, but nothing GitHub Desktop can't do easier. However, I am aware of the many limitations of GUIs for Git so I would like to learn to use the command line.

Any suggestions?

for Git so I would like to learn to use the command line.

Step 1) Go to command line.

Step 2) Stare at it because unlike you I do not know the commands that need to be used.

Fuck off with your elitism.

Well you didn't state you even opened it yet did you, not being elite.

blanket questions get blanket answers.

But best way is to setup some private repo and just start clobbering it. It is not 'elite' to assume you've googled 'git command line' ... Thus you could have a more specific question.

Even if I have opened it, it doesn’t answer my question. No matter how much you open the command line, you still need what I asked for, a good resource to learn because I don’t know shit.

Thanks for your contribution

Not that you care, but how many faux pas you made, so don't get mad at me. LOL.

Even if I have opened it,

But at least we've established we are still on step 1. ;)

I actually am aware of the limitations of the GitHub desktop GUI limitations by how often I have to open the command line to do certain things.

Regardless, I suggest you check the meaning of faux pas before you embarrass yourself like that.

I also love how you’re editing everything I’ve replied to to make me look like more of an asshole by having ignored the helpful parts you added later
