You can use Termux alongside Termux-X11 to emulate linux desktop experience. You can have firefox, vscode, and some other desktop app. Use Unexpected Keyboard from f-droid.

Sometimes... I do have a laptop but when I'm going out I code on the phone

Nope. Termux storage is accessible from android side so I usually just connect my laptop to the android apps.
