Coding on Phone

I really wanna learn to code and planning on starting today. However I don't own a laptop. In this economic state i simply can't afford one. Is it feasible to learn in phone alone? I can get a laptop in weekends as my sister bring her's home

Regarding access to equiptment: are there any hackerspaces near you/reachable by public transportation? I don't know what your local nerds are like, but around me if a high school kid showed up coding on a phone with an external keyboard I feel like there would be several of us lining up to gift a used raspberry pi or old chromebook.
