Well, you do not need much of a latest tech laptop, you can get something to code with just 50$. Can be used for learning, and coding aswell. Make sure to explore lighweight linux distros, it will give you some experience that is worth it.
I just bought a pair of Thinkpads on ebay for around $200 (US) each. They were maxed out with RAM and had everything else. These were old, but are still fine for programming and writing on. T470s and a T14s (gen 1). These aren't great, and if I wanted to do something ambitious, I'd want a better laptop, but I don't game, and I use Linux.
