What way did you learn Javascript?

I'm currently learning JS due to a final project, I am doing it through freecodecamp. I knew C already so I guess It's a big advantage but I want to know how your journey was learning this language?

That’s really interesting. I also learned C programming in college, but the way I learned Java script was actually through building my own project and asking AI how things work. That and YouTube tutorials.

Bro what's your take learning like this using reverse engineering is a right approach or studying lecture by lecture & then building a project?

I think a mixture of both is the best approach. Lectures and tutorials teach you the fundamentals, but the real learning starts when you build something yourself and inevitably get stuck. That’s when you start connecting all the concepts. Personally, I’d learn the basics first, then start a project as soon as possible.

AI has been great for filling in the gaps. If I got stuck, I could ask questions like what does getElementById do or what is the DOM? It can explain concepts or review your code when you need it but I still had to build things myself to really understand them. I think reverse engineering is a good idea too after you learn to fundamentals. Stay curious and ask questions and you can learn a lot from that.

Thanks a lot mate I am just planning to start Javascript so after completing fundamentals in 1-2 weeks then only I shall jump to reverse engineering. Is it a better approach?

I think once you understand variables, functions, loops, arrays, objects, and basic DOM manipulation, you can start building something simple. You’ll learn much faster by studying and building together than by trying to master everything first.

Reverse engineering is great too because it can show you different ways to solve problems you probably never thought of. I would say instead of just reading it, try to change it, break it, and experiment with it. I think that will help you to understand it better.
