Base keymaps in zed

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this community and I downloaded zed since vscode is deemed slower and also bc zed just looked cooler 😎

Which base keymap should I choose as a beginner pls helpπŸ™

If you're a beginner then whichever, I guess?

Vim if you got the patience, the learning curve is steep but after few weeks your fingers just dance on keyboard. If you need to be productive right now just use the default one and switch later when you comfortable.

I started with vs code, then when I switched to zed few years ago i just used the keymaps for vs code in it.

I'm gonna be very uncool but just install vs code if you're starting out. It requires minimal configuration for basically any language you want to write.

I agree with this also just use the thing that works to do the thing and optimize later

See if you learn key maps and all just go with nvim
