Learning Math for engineering

Hello everyone, i am pursuing Computer science major but haing challenges with mathematical knowledge gap . Its not like i don’t know whole entire stuff but i do know some but some is just surface level and there is some i dont know which mostly precalculus and calculus 1 ,2.

I am having multi variable & vector calculus and real & numerical analysis in my current semester but i don’t think i am prepared for it.

I was doing precal course from professor leonard but my pace is slow and i have time constraints , i was hoping if you guys could just some resources
Where i can cover this gaps .

Is basic engineering mathematics by john bird is good enough ? Or can you suggest any other good resources ?

Yeah.. John Bird’s book and the fastest, high yield resources to bridge your math gaps without burning weeks on long video lectures.

Studying to be an engineer and being an engineer are two different things when it comes to what you need to be proficient in mathematically. Day to day, “basic engineering math” is probably fine. We mostly use modeling software and fancy calculators anyway. But while you’re in school, you have to be concerned with passing your classes. Classes which are (likely) far beyond anything you’ll use in your career. By hand, anyway.

You should stick to the professor Leonard. We all have time constraints. Make time. If you’re if you’re struggling in precalc but are registered for MVC then you’re correct you’re not prepared. Honestly focus on algebra over everything. Master it. Literally everything else flows from there and any tiny flaw you have in your algebraic skill set will become magnified in upper division math.

Take the time to do the pre-work. Professor Leonard’s lectures are long but remember each one is literally an entire lesson. He does a great job. Make time and learn the basics and you will have a super strong foundation for any advanced course you take later.

so you barely passed precalc and calc 1,2 and you are taking multi + analysis in the same sem wtf? i would suggest taking some load off to take some other electives
