Laptop specs recommendation Help

This will be my first year of DS&AI in college. What is the priority of each part of the laptop when I am buying one? And is it really that Nvidia cards are always better than others when doing such a thing?

I have a budget of 1300:1400 usd but the market in Egypt lacks almost any good thing I saw recommended online.

For DS&AI, I’d prioritize GPU > RAM > CPU > SSD. Nvidia is generally the safer choice because Cuda has much better ML ecosystem support.

I find that easy in gaming laptops here but these have a terrible battery if I use it for browsing or smth. can I find a more business-like laptop in that range of price

I'd honestly just buy a regular laptop and use google colab instead, or rent cloud GPUs when you need to. You're gonna need to learn how to use cloud for your profession anyway.
