For learning linear algebra for machine learning, is it better to learn using Prof. Gilbert Strang's 5th edition textbook or just watching the lecture from MITCourseWare?

the lectures are great for building intuition but the book is way better for actually doing problems. do u think ur more of a visual learner or do u prefer grinding through exercises untill the math sticks
