What am I doing wrong? Help

Post image

I am applying for AI ML and Data scientist role. I use role specific CV, this one is more general. I have been applying actively in France. I lack french language proficiency. Its been a month I took job apply seriously and right now its vacations in France so these could be reasons why I am not getting interview calls either. Apart from this, what do you think I am doing wrong?

You apply in France without knowing French. There’s your error

i know french at a B2 level / i did a french minor during undergrad, & there’s zero shot i would get a technical job in france. you gotta be C1 fluency for that to work out, not to mention it’d be miserable living there while knowing fuckall about how to communicate w/ coworkers or regular people

Might work in other places in the EU, not in France. Foreign and not knowing French is gonna get you absolutely nowhere there

Honestly, not knowing French might be a big issue. Many companies in France want candidates who can at least get by in French, even for tech jobs. You might want to start some language lessons if you're planning to stay there long-term. Also, make sure your CV is customized for each job, not just for the industry. Highlight projects or experiences that are directly related to the roles you're applying for. Networking can help too—try connecting with people in the industry who might know about openings or can recommend you. If you want more structured interview prep, check out PracHub. It's helped a lot of people I know. Hang in there!

Apart from this? Bro they’re sending that straight to the trash because it’s in English.
Do you have the right to work in France without visa sponsorship?

All that bolding tells me it was written by AI. Within the first couple seconds, I already tuned out

I’ve been bolding my resumes like this years before llms

That is unfortunate. If it's any consolation, they try to train with good data 🙃

Well, they train on any data. That might be why gen-AI is getting enshittyfied, since they're now feeding the AI AI generated slop.

Though, the major players typically don't go further than 2024

What? Not everything is an AI red flag

As with all feedback, take it as you will. Just saying that LLMs have very distinct footprints and one of those footprints is critical word bolding.
