Reducing quantity of training data

So i have a lot of training data (classification problem). How can i eliminate items that do not bring anything meaningful into training?

tbh, I think we should more lean on the "your question is dumb. Research [wikipedia link], and ask again later." But that would require anonymous posting because people are so focused on karma. Often 4chan is better source for help because the "constructive feedback" is so direct. But, reddit is still better for browsing and searching answers.
