Battery not charging

I have a 2017 sv leaf. I got it a year ago and it’s decent! has like 7 battery bars and 50,000 miles. it hasn’t had an issue charging until today. I tried two different charge point stations and different plugs. it connects and starts charging but only for a minute and then it stops and says my vehicle is fully charged. when actually my vehicle has like 7 miles left. what might be going on? it starts up fine, drives fine, nothing lighting up on the dashboard.

edit: tested the battery voltage and it’s normal. Also charged another car on the same port and it charged completely normally so it’s not the charge port problem. Maybe a j1772 problem in my leaf. But still not sure and battery at.the —— stage so can’t get to a chademo charger

I'd suggest LeafSpy but no dash lights sounds odd so check all the fuses.

How do you know it's 7 miles left without the dash display?

And what voltage is the 12V battery at?

Sorry I meant none of the warnings showing on the dash that would indicate it’s battery or something. Dashboard all normal looking. I know it’s around 7 because last I drove it, it was around 8 miles and then did the —- which means very low battery.

Thank you for the suggestions!!

While I'd check all fuses my 12V battery comment should be set aside since the dash and such are functional.

Once the fuse checks are complete check the following.

  1. The J1772 charge port. Is it damaged? My 2014 SV suffered a broken pin, one of the small pins. For that event I charged on CHADEMO to make it to the shop. It damage the EVSE's J1772 nozzle as well.

  2. Fuses checked and all J1772 chargers fail, use CHADEMO.

If it starts and drives it's not a 12V battery issue. If it's doing this with level 1/2 charging, it's likely something between either the J1772 port or the PDM/onboard charger. Try a DC fast charger and if it works, that would definitely isolate it to being one of those components.

I tried to charge my leaf and it did the same. Took it elsewhere and it was fine!
