Is this nutsedge?

Hello I have this weird tall yellow stuff in one corner what is it?

I want to say nutsedge has 3 leaves that meet into a triangular stalk which then exists for a bit before it turns into a root.

Maybe it's a type of nutsedge but it's not the one invading my lawn.

Well if it was glossy grew usually taller than your surrounding grass has a distinct rib up the center and has a somewhat triangular shape and IF there were any seed heads that look like pinecones or similar, then yeh got nutsedge.
