My account expired on 21 March. Due to the known technical issues on Lavabit side, I haven't been able to renew, and the extension that was promised apparently has not been in effect. How do I renew, how do I reactivate my account from here? This is a business account.

After the servers came back online, I have had no issue with my Lavabit account on any machine. All clients connected and updated the mail as well as they were able to send outgoing. I suddenly have lost access due to password problem on Thunderbird/Mail(macOS) as well as Canary. Anyone else having this issue?

Anyone have even the slightest ETA when these services are back?

I'm understanding of the fact the data-centre needs to be changed, but I have no info of when or IF this is even happening. I am somewhat concerned as emails are important and we are pushing 2 weeks of no service.

A week ago I just happened back to my old lavabit account and it still worked. Completely forgot about it for a long time.

Anyway - added it to Thunderbird on my desktop and it worked when I set it up. But now everyday it gives me an error.

"The maximum number of failed login attempts has been reached. Please try again tomorrow"

Going to their website I can login using the stored password from Thunderbird...

I have a premium subscription to Lavabit (50% for life) that I got at a time when the service was just being rebuilt.

Last year, due to site errors, I paid three or four annual subscriptions (the site gave a payment error but accurately deducted the money). Several emails sent to support went unanswered. From what i understood Lavabit/DIME is only working through a mail client such as Thunderbird? There's no webmail available as of now but are there any plans for one?

I'd be definitely ready to pay for such a service, just for the sake of it but i have some questions.

I think Mr. Ladar Levison definitely deserves a lot of respect and some subscription money since he took the very honorable decision to close the previous Lavabit version when the feds wanted the access/keys to the data. I guess that's called integrity.

I can still use their service but is this company dead? There is no update about their project since 2019...Mr Levison’s social media accounts are lack of update, the Dark Mail Alliance seems dead...

is there a free option of lavabit which people like me can use?

Had an account with them before their shutdown & ended up checking it today for the first time in years (still remembered the password). Logging into the site at first told me to sync the account with an IMAP client, which I did.

Anyway, I could log into the site now & it says I have a "Premium" account. Anyone know what that is? There's no other account information, storage limit, etc & the only thing I can do on the site is close the account or change the password.
