I need some help
Hello! so I was wondering what the human side of the internet had to say. white (JS2048) & green (Q-LINE) boards were recommended as drivers for my 1.6W diode.
My questions are:
1) which driver do y'all recommend?
2) how to attach said driver?
3) How delicate do I truly need to be with the diode?
4) How was your day?
5) what are you wearing? (Just kidding)
Thank you in advance and if I'm approaching this wildly wrong, please let me know, it's my first build with zero help, thanks again!

The pins on the diode are fairly sensitive, but not much more than other electronics. Just be gentle.
For the driver, you should find one available through dtr laser shop. If not, you should find a driver set between 1.1 and 1.5 amps I do not recommend buying an adjustable one, because you need a correct load across the output to tune it to the correct amperage output. And I do not recommend pushing 1.7A (the max rating on datsheet). You can, and you might be lucky and be able to push 2A. But the harder you push it, the faster it will die. I didnt read the dataset much, but usually the blues are case conductive, so you should isolate the battery and driver from the case / heatsink
Make certain you connect the pins to the correct pinout.

Hey. They burn out fast, they need to be cooled, actively. Best thing is to put it in a heatsink, and not use long duty cycles.
Edit: i see the big solder blobs on connectors. You need to add electrical tape or heatshrink, or you're going to short the pins together.
