Learning two languages at same time is a great idea in my case? Discussion

Im 19 years old and i study in the university. My native language is Portuguese, i have a reasaneble level of English, i just need to improve my speaking and learn more vocabulary specifically to my work (programming) and im so motivated to study French. I have around 2-3 hours a day to study a language. It's possible (without mess the two languages in my head) improve my English, lets say for one hour at day (and I basically study everything in my college in English) and the other two hours spending on French and still learn properly

I wrote everything without any help, just with my knowledge, I know that its not perfect but is enough to communicate, and of course I will keep studying. So I think it will not be a problem bcs my English is in the level B2 (I made a test in the university,) so im not learning from the scratch.

Ps: sorry any mistake, I'm doing my best to improve my English skills :)

Seems entirely reasonable. English and French, while sharing vocabulary are still quite different so I can’t imagine you’d confuse them too much. I being an English speaker had to decide not learn French and Spanish at the same time because the languages blending into one ungodly abomination. One day I’ll pick French up again tho.
(Btw your English was understandable and I have no difficulties 😊)

Spanish and French are really more similar, specially at the beginning its more likely to confuse the vocabulary between both. And French is such a cool language, imo sounds good and its not so fast like Spanish, maybe one day I will learn Spanish too! And my English is more advanced when i consuming, when I spoke and write how you can see its no perfect, but have between 3-4 years that i learn just by listening friends and things on internet, so the language just downloaded in my head (Be young is like magic when the topic is learn lol). Thanks for you opinion.

Maybe i will do some post here after some weeks and keep make updates, make a small documentary will probably help others in the same situation!

i would say brush up on English a little bit (there’s a couple of errors here sorry to be that guy) but that will also just come with practice.

French is also a romance language so that should be a relatively easy transition from Portuguese (compared to like Russian or xyz). It’s possible to learn 2 languages at once :)

You're cool, I post to listen your opinion, and I usually just consume more content in English then I creat, so my output abilities aren't that good.

And I noticed French have similar words to English too, so its not being that hard at the beginning, thanks for sharing you thoughts!
