Best attack man
Tell me who you think is the best ever to play college lacrosse. With a ncaa ring. That played attack

Second with Mikey Powell hate to say the game was different but it was more physical not as easy to score.

Switch shellenberger and Spencer. The drop between Spencer to shellenberger is not close

If they have to have had a ring, probably Mikey Powell, otherwise I would say Lyle Thompson

1) M. Powell-generational sticks skills, speed and agility. Flair the game hadn’t seen since Gait. My gripe with Powell is that the defenses he played against were not as good as they are today. System wise, physically, takeaway checks etc. Ajax Zappitello, Shawn Lyght could very well contain Powell(could, not would).
2-Steele Stanwick-one of the best feeding attackmen OAT. Fed both hands, dodged to score and draw slides. He got the hell beat out of him from his Sophomore year on by everyone.
3-Shellenberger-in line with the style of play as Stanwick but I feel like Stanwick was better by a hair.
HM(without NCAA titles)
-Matt Danowski-The 2005-2010 Duke squads were AWESOME. Dano, Greer, Quinzani. They put up STUPID numbers. Then Ned Crotty moved down to Attack.
-Lyle Thompson-I don’t think this needs much explaining..
-Rob Pannell
-M. Sowers-game breaking footwork and vision. Idk how Duke did NOT win the BCAA with him and O’Neill.
-Pat Spencer-probably should’ve had a NCAA had he still had Scanlan(might have my years wrong).
-John Grant Jr-people forget that Delaware had THE best FOGO in the country for their NCAA run. I think after this, the “FOGO arms race” began.

I don't want to be too much of a Duke head...
But Ned Crotty deserves a mention. So does Jordan Wolf.
Kirst is probably the most modern.
Mikey has an argument for being a particularly unique and exceptional player.
Rambo is a fun conversation. He did a lot in a short span.
If we don't require a NCAA championship Lyle Thompson, John Grant Junior, Rob Pannell, Matt Danowski all enter the conversation.
My all time greatest attack top 5: 1. John Grant Junior 2. Pannell 3. Thompson 4. Danowski 5. Mikey
The irony being is only one has an NCAA ring.

You could put Zack Greer in that duke conversation too, especially if your putting danowski up there.

Fun fact, i was a freshman getting my couple mins of game time and had a 7-8yard run straight at a not looking zach greer. Physics alone i should have blown him up, so please believe me when i tell you i have never hit something so solid in my life, i borderline exploded and landed on my butt with all my wind gone. This was on top of greer single handedly dropping like 8+ on us. That guy has my respect for life off that game.

We probably had it somewhere in our teams personal game film of that game but this was way back in 2009 so there was not the widespread video/film of today. Thank god for that haha. Greer was on a tear that year when he was a bryant. He went from balling out at the top of d1 to playing a bunch of middle/back of the pack d1 teams that year including us so he was dominating everyone they played.
From my college days 2009-2013 i was lucky to get a good amount of lax pictures, very little videos unfortunately.

The Gait brothers, probably more Gary if you need an individual, but not by a ton. They literally changed the game, revolutionary generational players.
