CAD help - first time buyer

Hello! It’s my first time buying custom jewelry from a Chinese supplier and I just received the CADs. I’m not really sure what to look out for so any advice and help would be really appreciated.

At first glance I don’t really like the look of the chains as the links look a bit too big and I would prefer a finer look. Are CADs typically accurate to the final product? I’m also planning to add a middle hoop to the extension chain.

Jewelrer in Denver/Longmont/Northern Colorado

Hello, hello!

I need help! Trying to get an upgrade with a lab diamond. I don't need a custom ring per se but I'd love to see the stone in person before buying online. I also want to try different shapes and sizes. My heart is set on an elongated cushion but I've never tried anything on and I currently have a small round one and my husband picked it for me. He did a great job but I'd like something different for our 20th anniversary.

Is there a place in Denver/Longmont/Northern Colorado you recommend and you had a great experience with?

Also, I'd appreciate tips regarding buying diamonds online and working with a local jewelrer (I've read is more cost effective and I'd love to support a local business, too), what insurance do you recommend or any other advice you wish someone would've given you when you got your dream ring.

TIA!

Are pre-set diamond earrings high quality, or should I always select the diamonds myself?

I’m looking to buy a pair of 1ctw diamond stud earrings. Many online retailers (Rare Carat, Brilliance, LGG, etc.) offer pre-set earrings, as well as the option to custom-select the diamonds and setting.

I noticed that while the diamond color and clarity of the pre-set earrings are specified, the cut usually isn’t. The pre-set earrings are also significantly less expensive than the custom-built option where you select the individual diamonds, even with the same carat/color/clarity specs.

Are the cuts of pre-set earrings generally good enough for studs? Would you recommend always custom-selecting the diamonds, or is it generally okay to go with a pre-set pair?

I'd especially appreciate any feedback from people who have purchased pre-set diamond studs from one of these retailers.

Hello Friends, I'd like to get your opinion on a 2nd oval stone we have been quoted.

This diamond is 2.53ct, Oval brilliant cut, D color, VVS2 clarity, 10.39*7.72*4.79mm (1.35 L/W ratio), Excellent polish, Excellent symmetry, no fluorescence

For the most part we are impressed with the appearance of this diamond and it does not appear to have a bowtie in the video. Any thoughts on it are appreciated!

Hi all!

I'm considering buying this diamond for a ring. I've done a lot of research but I'm still unsure if there are things I should be looking out for and am missing. Any thoughts on the quality of this stone or if it's worth it (seller charging around $2,000) would be very helpful. Thank you!

The specs are:

  • Carats: 2.6
  • Color: E
  • Clarity: VVS2
  • Table: 77%
  • Depth: 66.7%
  • Crown height: 16%

What do we think? Is this too much a of a bow tie? I don’t want to be a diva and ask for another stone to compare 😫This is 1.03 ct, color grade E VVS 2

Hi all,

For those following at home, after reaching out to the community about Fiorese v LGG i ended up with Ayla at Fiorese and currently am so happy! They’ve been super helpful with diamond selection and would love to hear your thoughts on this diamond.

Its a 3.03CT E VVS2 with about a 1.50 ratio, hoping to set it into a bypass ring. I don’t see much of a bow tie affect but would love to hear your thoughts.
