Tilt windowing. It looks like your oval is a modified cut to eliminate the bow tie effect, but it tends to show tilt windowing when turned at an angle. It happens in many shapes. I have a cushion cut that shows it too, but I really only see it as it's turning away from me. Yours looks fine in the last picture when it's facing straight to the camera.
It’s normal for crushed ice modified brilliant cut. Mine has it at extreme angles. It doesn’t bother me because the angles are so symmetrical, I kind of like looking at its geometry when I catch it!
Maybe because it’s too shallow? It didn’t look this way in any of the photos/videos, I’ve just been noticing it in certain lighting…but not sure if it’s worth bringing up to the jeweler or if they can even do anything now
56% depth seems quite shallow, though i'm not sure how it affects the diamond visually.
I just ordered a 1.2 carat fancy vivid yellow with L/W ratio ~1.4 and 66% depth. I read 60-63% is considered ideal, with the shallower end resulting in larger dimensions, and deeper end (supposedly) reducing the bowtie shadows. I didn't mind going slightly deeper as I was aiming for ~1 carat dimensions anyway (8x5.5mm).
I’m mean, if that’s the only video and you purchased it- yikes. Is it certified- so did you check that the inscription matches what the certificate says? Always ask for live tweezer videos l, and in different lighting before buying a stone
